Fredokiss one of the legend in Malawian music emerged in the industry 2008 with venecular (chichewa) Hiphop Rap american styre together with Jolly Bro and the Daredevils, they dominated in the country as their music hit malawian air waves.
Since then he rose to fame and now he is recognize as one of the biggest artist in malawi with his music that target issues happening in socities, songs like ndikaseka maso, changes, breadwinner, malamulo amu ghetto, ali ndi njila zawo among others conqured alot of attention from the ghetto in the way he adresses the issues young people face in Ghettos For that he was crowned 'Ghetto King Kong' and 'Ghetto Mouth pierce'
Fredokiss real name penjani kalua who is chief executive officer for Ghetto Gutter entertainment in 2016 opened an initiative called fredokiss scholarship with the aim of helping young people who fail to go to school to continue their carrer because of financial problems.
Through the initiative the Malawian Hiphop star started paying school fees and providing other items to needy students, After observing that povarty was hindering many young people not to proceed with their studies.
In 2018, 100 students benefitted from the self-funded fredokiss schoralship, among others Luptech college through the schoralship trained twenty people with disabilities to pursue their studies in Infomation and Communication Technology (ICT) video production, graphic designing and home gadget repairing.
This year the sindikwatila star through his schoralship sponsored 120 students to study 4 different coarses and also sponsored more than 100 youths from Blantyre south west to study various courses at SANWEKA.
He said he wants to make a positive difference towards the needy youths with the little weathy he has in order to make a better malawi.
" this year we have almost 150 young people who benefitted from the fredokiss iniative all these are my personal financies i have not received any money from anyone", said fredokiss
he added " i am looking foward a day when i want to meet a lawyer, doctor, minister, nurse or even a president who shall be a product of the fredokiss schoralship"
Meanwhile he visited some of the students under the fredokiss schoralship, in his recent post on instalgram, he announced that he is glad that these student are making great progress and will soon give 380 more schoralship as his goal is to ensure 500 student graduate this year.
